Natural Bridges National Monument

Hwy 275
Blanding, UT 84511
(435) 692-1234

Description:

At Natural Bridges National Monument, some of the largest naturally formed rock bridges in the world tower high overhead. The biggest of these, in terms of height and width, is the Sipapu bridge, standing 220 feet high and spanning a 268-foot width. A nine-mile scenic drive offers sights of all the bridges in the park, but for an up-close view from the base of these natural wonders, head off on one of the hiking trails that are short but sometimes have big elevation changes. Also within the park is the Horsecollar Ruin, an ancestral Puebloan ruin from the 14th century that remains remarkably well preserved. Located about a three hour drive northwest of Four Corners, the park is close to many other national sites, including the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Canyonlands National Park, and offers some camp sites for those who wish to stay overnight.
